Core Narrative & Operational Execution

The Brief

Our warehouse team executed multi-supplier pickups across Bali, collecting a high-density consignment of heavy stone pots and teak furniture destined for the US retail and commercial market. The core focus of this shipment centered on extremely large, heavy rectangular and round limestone pots, alongside delicate ceramic planters, solid teak dining tables, and handcrafted timber decor.

Warehouse Staging & Heavy-Duty Crating

Due to the sheer weight and fragile structure of the carved limestone pots and ceramics, standard palletizing was insufficient. At our Bali facility, our warehouse crew constructed heavy-duty, custom-built ISPM 15 Certified timber crates with high-density rubber buffers to lock each piece in place. The solid teak furniture was wrapped in foam sheet and a double layer of protective carton wrap to ensure zero surface damage during container loading, transit, and unloading.

Customs Clearance & US Compliance

To meet strict US import standards, RIM Cargo processed all biosecurity and customs documentation prior to dispatch:

  • V-Legal Timber Certificate: Fully verified and issued for all solid teak furniture and wooden handicrafts.

  • Biosecurity & Fumigation: Applied certified methyl bromide treatments to all timber packaging and raw wood products, affixed with official ISPM 15 compliance stamps.

  • US Import Formalities: Completed the required Import Security Filing (ISF) along with all commercial invoice and packing list documentation to guarantee smooth US Customs clearance.

Container Stuffing & Ocean Dispatch

Precision loading was critical for this mixed-weight load. The heavy, custom-crated limestone pots were positioned low and centered in the 20ft FCL container to optimize weight distribution, with lighter ceramic crates, teak furniture, and handicrafts secured safely around them. Once sealed, the container was dispatched via overland transit to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya for ocean shipment to Los Angeles.
