RIM Cargo managed the collection, consolidation, packing and export preparation of a multi-vendor shipment of high-end handicrafts and bespoke home decoration items from Bali, Indonesia to boutique retailers in Montreal, Canada.

MULTI-VENDOR COLLECTION AND WAREHOUSE PREPARATION
RIM Cargo coordinated the collection of goods from multiple suppliers in Bali and consolidated the shipment at our warehouse in Kerobokan.
To protect the handcrafted and fragile items during international transport, each product was carefully wrapped in protective bubble wrap and packed into heavy-duty cartons.
Our warehouse team then built a custom ISPM 15-compliant timber pallet and protective wooden frame around the consolidated cargo. This additional protection helps reduce the risk of movement, impact and handling damage during trucking, port handling and international LCL sea freight.

EXPORT DOCUMENTATION AND BIOSECURITY PREPARATION
International shipments containing timber packaging or regulated wooden components require careful preparation before export.
For this shipment, RIM Cargo coordinated the required export and treatment documentation, including:
• ISPM 15-compliant timber packaging
• Methyl bromide fumigation and treatment certification
• V-Legal documentation for applicable Indonesian wood products
• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
Preparing these documents correctly helps support customs clearance and biosecurity requirements for commercial cargo entering Canada.

FROM BALI TO THE PORT OF MONTREAL
Once packing and export preparation were completed, the fully secured shipment was loaded at the RIM Cargo facility in Bali.
The cargo was then transported by road from Bali through Java to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, where it entered the international LCL sea freight network for onward shipment to the Port of Montreal, Canada.
This Bali-to-Surabaya routing allows RIM Cargo to manage the shipment from local supplier collection and warehouse consolidation through to export preparation and international ocean freight.
